Introduction

Santosh Khadka is an Assistant Professor of English and Director of Upper Division Writing Proficiency Exam at California State University, Northridge. He earned his PhD from Syracuse University in the United States. Two of his co-edited books on multimodality are forthcoming—Bridging the Multimodal Gap: From Theory to Practice from University of Colorado Press, and Designing and Implementing Multimodal Curricula and Programs from Routledge: Taylor & Francis Group. His third co-edited book, Narratives of Marginalized Identities in Higher Education: Inside and Outside the Academy is also forthcoming from Routledge: Taylor & Francis Group. Khadka has published several articles in journals in the US and abroad. For instance, his “Geopolitics of Grant Writing: Discursive and Stylistic Features of Nonprofit Grant Proposals in Nepal and the United States” was published in Journal of Technical Writing and Communication, whereas “(Teaching) Essayist Literacy in the Multimedia World” appeared in Composition Forum. He now teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in writing, rhetoric, digital media, and professional communication.
